I could be completely out of line here, but I’m just going to say it anyway. As Christians we really need to stop picking on each other. From politics to the public school system, it seems that everyone has an opinion about everyone else and we’re not afraid to share it with the world. Differences in doctrine and parenting alone can be enough to get us riled up fast. It’s a dog eat dog world out there and it seems like the older I get, the more often I need to pull over and get a rabies shot.

Federal waste dump sells tons of excavated salt (destined for cattle feed in Texas)

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Hundreds of tons of salt excavated from the Department of Energy's underground nuclear waste dump in southeastern New Mexico are destined for cattle feed in Texas. The DOE's Carlsbad field office has reached an agreement with Magnum Minerals LLC of Hereford, Texas, which will buy up to 300,000 tons of salt from the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant, known as WIPP. The Pittsburgh Post Gazette reports on a study released on-line in The Clinical Journal of the American Society of Nephrology which indicates that physiology, not public policy, determines a human’s daily sodium intake. McDonald's Worker Arrested For "Over Salting" Police Officer's Burger

No, "over salting" isn't code for anything nasty. The 20-year-old McDonald's worker literally spilled salt on the hamburger meat that was used to make a "Big 'N Tasty" that was served to a Georgia police officer. The police officer says the burger made him sick—and Kendra Bull, 20, spent a night in jail because of it. According to Kendra, she accidentally spilled too much salt on the hamburger meat, tried to remove it, notified her coworkers, then took a break. During the break she says she ate a burger made from the salty meat.

'Salt death' baby is identified

A baby who died from a suspected salt overdose at a Nottingham hospital has been named by a coroner. Samuel McIntosh was reportedly born prematurely in March and had been placed on a saline drip at the Queen's Medical Centre. He died on 7 July. The hospital has apologised for "any shortcomings" in the care of the baby. Nottinghamshire Coroner Dr Nigel Chapman said Samuel died of an electrolyte imbalance. An inquest is being held on Friday.
